Our Story

While coaching a newly formed Boys Volleyball team at a local charter school in Houston, TX, we organized a double round-robin league formed of five teams during the Spring of 2022, to keep working with our players whom were new to the sport. We had a few hiccups but it was a great experience nonetheless. 

In the Spring of 2023 we invited more teams to participate and a total of eight boys teams registered. It was a combination of Varsity and JV teams. Things were better planned and for the first time we had trophies for Champion and Runner-up.. 

In the Spring of 2024 our girls asked us to do the same for them so we went all out offering separate leagues for Boys Varsity, Girls Varsity, Boys JV, and Girls JV teams. The result, 26 teams joined us: 10 Boys Varsity teams, 6 Girls Varsity teams, 6 Boys JV Teams, and 4 Girls JV teams. We offered Champions and Runner-up trophies, as well as MVP awards in each league. We received great feedback from our participants and throughout the year we were asked to do it again. 

We are back for HHSVL ’25.
